Can anyone give me some names of some really cool/ exciting/ cutting-edge advertising companies?

I’m in the UK though so it has to be UK based or international (ideally - as i would like to work in the US at some stage).

I work at a ad firm in the US - so most all the firms I know of are in the States. However, the big ones are overseas too.

Funny thing is, you should look at companies that are global but don’t necassarily first strike you as advertising companies.

Proctor and Gamble are huge overseas and have a great ad team. MeadWestvaco (trapper-keepers) have companies globally and have a great ad team (I worked for them so I know).

Make sure your resume is online! And take internships (even if they don’t pay!) Getting into an actually ad agency can take years of expierence.

When p1 = x1/n1 is greater than p2 = x2/n2, after application of the continuity correction rule the formula for z is:

Verification whether it is appropriate to employ the test based on the normal distribution:

The rate of those who reported that watch the series regularly:
p = (23+ 41) / (48 + 90) = 64 /138 =0.4638

The rate of those who do not watch regularly:
q = 1 - p = 1 - 0.4638 = 0.5362

Since n(m) = 48 and n(f) = 90, all these four values are above 5:
n(m) * p
n(m) * q
n(f) * p
n(f) * q
Thus it is possible to use the test based on the normal distribution.

Since the proportion of persons who watch the series regularly is greater in the group of males (0.479 in comparison with 0.456 for females), the numerator in the formula for z will be:

numerator = [(23 - 0.5)/48] - [(41 +0.5) / 90] = 0.46875 - 0.46111 = 0.00759
denominator = sqrt [0.4638 * 0.5362 * ((1/48) + (1/90))] = sqrt 0.00794 = 0.08913

z = 0.00759 / 0.08913 = 0.0852

The two-tailed normal tables give a probability of 0.9321 or 93.21 %.
This P > 0.05 (or 5 %).
The conclusion is that the rate of male viewers does not differ significantly from that of females; in other words, the observed difference in rates can be explained by chance or sampling variation.

And if there are any specifics, which i assume there are, just fill them in with your imagination and give me an estimate. Your made-up specifics will help me personalize my question and narrow it down when i ask it again.

3- 5 million gross with 1/4 for expindetures, 1/4 for salaries and office space so half would be net profits. no ceo for average sized firm. agency manager would net about 2- 300,000.00 though………………

I am starting a wedding planning business and working on my business cards. Are there any thoughts on using glossy coated or uncoated business cards? I have a friend who used coated and I can’t use pencil to write on it but I can use pen (in case the clients need to write something or I do).

You can get UV coating on one or two sides. I think UV coating is very elegant, however you typically cannot write on them. However, if you need to write on them, perhaps you can have them UV coated on one side, and the back side can be still glossy, but uncoated so you can write on them.

I’ve used Reduced Printing (www.reducedprinting.com), and they print on thick glossy paper. Last time I’ve used them I used coupon code "google25" and saved $25 but I’m not sure if it still works. They have good quality, I do recommend them.

Merely having the license won’t affect anything. If you do generate any income however you must report it on your regular benefit claims.
