Why is Mac hardware …
Why is Mac hardware so expensive? I hate all computers and operating systems from a support standpoint but you kool-aid gulpers really could use a reality check with your elitist views.
Luis is right. This …
Luis is right. This ad is a reflection of a company that lacks creativity. Microsoft ripped off Apple’s original OS in the 80’s and now they’re ripping off their ad campaigns. Windoze users will never get it.
I am not bothered …
I am not bothered with the lame Mac ad either. I believe PC to continue to be a significant part at work and home of millions people world wide. You can sing and praise your Mac, but you are still strapped your own sorry world
i’m not a mac or a …
i’m not a mac or a pc. i’m a mammal.
was that michael …
was that michael jai white at the end?
Tss, IBM-PC …
Tss, IBM-PC compatible machines don’t run native AmigaOS!! :/
Life without walls? …
Life without walls? =P. Did they really think that thru?
Sounds like you’re …
Sounds like you’re jealous
Im a Mac and I …
Im a Mac and I can’t be bothered with common sense or fact-checking. I like the fact that I can tell people about how much better my OS X is than their OS, and then gloat how I can use the same software as them by running said inferior OS on my Mac. Why I would put an additional OS on my Mac if OS X is so good is beyond me because I can’t think, polish my Macbook case, and order my latte at the same time.
Yeah, I saw this …
Yeah, I saw this exact ad on MSNBC last night and about fell out of my chair laughing at the reversal. I’ve been using PCs for everything from programming, multimedia development, wide format projection, making music and so on for nearly two decades. So yeah, I agree with this ad in the general sense, yet I don’t really care for Microsoft that much. You don’t need to use a Mac to “Think Different”. You can spend a lot less on a PC and still work outside the “box”.
By all means, …
By all means, please regale us with your uber Windows IT ‘real truth’ ; )
Not entirely true. …
Not entirely true. A “PC” can run a large number of OSes, including Linux, various BSDs, Solaris, QNX, etc. The only thing it cannot (legally) run is Mac OS X - and that’s mainly because Apple specifically prevented it from running unless a particular hardware signature is present (matching Apple’s own machines).
So you do have a point - as a result, a Mac can run even more (at least among the most popular) OSes, but the platform is definitely not as “open” as the PC.
I’m puzzled where …
I’m puzzled where people get this impression from. I have several computers here, even a Linux box or two. The Macs here have to play nice with a Windows network and Windows (marked) printers and peripherals. I find things like my Red Hat variant, takes the longest to get peripherals working, then XP and the Macs. I think this impression that one computer takes longer than another is mostly due to not knowing or using the competing OS, and both Mac AND Win users suffer from this blindness.
About Microsoft …
About Microsoft deals with apple’s stereotypical a pile of huge bullshit
About time …
About time Microsoft deals with Apple’s stereotypical bullshit.
I’m a PC, I am part …
I’m a PC, I am part of the crowd.
(Sorry, that ad just tickled me a bit. It would have been perfect to have a ‘mouth morphed’ image of President Eisenhower at the end saying I’m a PC and I conform.)
@knowledgethief …
@knowledgethief are you that retarted? There’s tons of OS’s that you can run on PCs. Linux, BeOS, Unix just to name a few. Hey and with efix (google it) you can run OS X (course with limited hardware support) but whos problem is that…Apples for limiting the hardware that can run OSx? Try thinking before you spout pure wrong info….I’m not a mac hatter or a windows lover just a dump post hater….
“I’m a PC and I’m a …
“I’m a PC and I’m a museum of technology failure…” or “I’m a PC and I’m a magnet for viruses…” or “I’m a PC: a modern day torture device…” Etc.
“PC is far superior …
“PC is far superior in flexability”
PC are limited to Windows OS only. Mac run any OS you want to put on it, -including any application you wish to use…
Never found a “cool …
Never found a “cool” application that I cant use because its on PC only.
It really seems like vehement Mac haters are completely ignorant to what the Intel-mac chip does…
Those using Intel macs are happily using every single application/game out there regardless of whether its OSX or Windows formatted.
Wow, Rashad Evans …
Wow, Rashad Evans as new PC spokesman…way to go. Why can’t I choose to put together a Mac like I do a PC. I like to mod and upgrade my PC. I am a PC and I love it……
Good commercial but …
Good commercial but the overpriced Apple elitists will once again tout how their OS has not had a single crash in over 20 years and that Microsoft crashes every 20 seconds. Those of us who work in IT know the real truth…
I like how they say …
I like how they say PC and not what operating system they are using…assuming they are all using Linux and not windoze…hahahahahaha!!!!
i’m a pc and and …
i’m a pc and and vista jut crashed
I agree with you to …
I agree with you to a point. A PC (as defined by “Not a Mac”) is indeed flexible and inexpensive. But this is an ad for Microsoft. So who makes a better operating system? I’ve used Mac for over 20 years and have nothing but praise for their product. Yes, I am in a creative field and No, I am not a computer person. For me, Mac and its OS fits who I am and what I do. Just as a PC fits the needs of a lot of others. But I do hear a lot of complaints about Microsoft products.
