    The tools are there within Linux (uses OpenGL, like macs do too - lots of potential dev.)… While games could be brought to Linux, it’s mostly shortsighted primarily due to Windows being sold as an “everything” system (whereas Linux is still viewed “OS for server use” by many) - it’s easy to develop cross-platform if the platform uses similar codebase, but if that code changes developers are opt to settle for the more popular system (so I’ve been told in the past) thus DirectX > OpenGL

    When I saw this a few months back, I knew it was the beginning of the end for MS. Ballmer is not insane, just enthusiastically on the wrong track. They are selling Razorfish now. There’s no patch for human stupidity. (not even a service-pack)
