How should I begin advertising my commercial janitorial, residental? What do I charge, any one know?

I just opened a new janitorial business for residential and commercial. I need to find out how much to charge and the best way to open up in my area and local communitys. I want to stick with either free or really affordable advertising ideas. Anyone out there know?

Start by figuring out how long it will take you to clean a 1000 square foot area. Then figure out how much it will cost for chemicals equipment transportation insurance and everything involved. Once you know that you have a baseline to figure out how much it’s going to cost to do various sized areas.

For advertising you can try craigslist or just mail a letter to various businesses. Visiting businesses in person to let them know who you are and what you do is the best way to get them comfortable with who you are.
