I saw a particularly disturbing ad for way to hapiness in which a man cheated on his wife and was beaten up by all of these women and he came home battered and bruised and the title was cheating hurts completely ignoring the violent abuse that happened to the guy as if it were his fault had that been a woman there would be an outrage…to use that kind of violence in an ad for a”church” is disturbing but to say its ok cause he cheated is far worse!!!

Neither of your descriptions describe people the acadademics describe re people who join cults.
As they told me, anyone can get suckered into a cult. Often member of cults are very smart people…that’s why they were looking for something else to do. I know that seems impossible, but that’s what they told me, and I found many talented and smart people part of Scientology. Does that make their abuses right? NO…and THAT is mind control.

Either people looking for a fast answer and urance to all the universe’s mysteries, or they crave community, are indecisive and crave having someone telling them what to do. Cults like $ci, prey on people like this, and without remorse because like most “religions” they actually believe they are serving a greater good. All the while usually being manipulated by one or more individuals making all profits.
