Can I carry a small meat branding iron onto a plane?

I bought a small meat branding iron for a gift but I will be flying. I was wondering if I could keep this in my carry on. It is about twelve inches long and I am going to check my bag at the gate. I travel alot but have never had to take a branding iron while I travel.

I wouldn’t count on it. Better to put in checked bags. Also, it’s not the sort of thing to worry about having stolen. Electronics, jewelry, etc. are the biggest concern.

  1. i doubt it… i think it will have to go in your suitcase not your hand luggage… they will consider it a possible weapon.

  2. You never know lol apparently my gf forgot a knife was in her carry on. She didn’t realize it till she got home.
