Do you feel that WWE might be better if it quit branding and only had an Undisputed Champion?
The Attitude Era was before branding and had multiple shows, and many fans consider it the best days of WWE. Now with branding people feel it has lost it’s edge, and championships don’t mean as much. Do you have an opinion?
My first reaction is to say, of course they should go back to just one champion and quit the branding, things were better when they did that. But then I think about it a little more and realize that if they did that then all the top guys from RAW would still have to be on each show every night, but now also all the top guys from Smackdown would have to be on each show ever night. It would cut camera time from the up-and-comers that we all love to see. I think due to the size of WWE they have to have two shows and they need to keep them separate. They just need to more evenly spread out the talent. Move some more top competitors to Smackdown and even things up a bit.
ya maybe then they could make the shows equal, i hate how they spend all of their resources on raw

That’s an interesting point. I do think due to all the guys they have now that 2 shows are necessary, but like you said it was better when they had a smaller roster and everyone could go on both shows, and there was only one champion.

they need to give more to smackdown and turn it to the old days (2002-2006)

yes because all wwe is putting into is raw. wwe dont have many upper carded wrestlers like raw. the undertaker is the only upper carder on there

de-branding would only lead to more deserving guys getting buried
where the multiple brands become a problem is that the belts tend to get on a rotation, and a lot of title counts get padded — this is because when a guy goes from Raw to SD! or vice versa, he is often immediately in the same position he was when he left the other show
back in the day a guy going from WWE to WCW or vice versa, would have a decompression period where they were re-established with a new gimmick — some guys like Flair and Hogan would jump and be at the top, but anyone else had to climb a few steps… now almost anyone who moves across the brands is exactly where they were before
