Is taking a list of business contacts from an employer and using them to start a business a crime in NJ?

An employee with access to a database of client addresses and phone numbers recently quit, taking with her a printed copy of business contacts. Is using this list to start a business of her own a crime in the state of New Jersey?

yes it is a crime in most places. besides being highly immoral to boot.
but it could depend on any contract of employment terms of service.
there could be a loophole allowing you to do this legally.
