What other forums are there for marketers specifically?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin in marketers | 6 Comments »

I just wanted to know if they are any other websites similar to this one, also specifically for marketers and people interested in marketing?

I am aware of yahoo answers but very broad and general. I am also interested to know what websites offer marketing trends, information and news.

As you can see i’m very keen to expand my marketing knowledge.

I have come across a number of great Marketing web sites. I think your search may be more successful, however, if you first identify which areas you are most interested in learning about. After all, as you are no doubt discovering, Marketing is a very broad category and covers several fields and disciplines.

I’ve listed below three of my most favorite marketing sites.

If you wish to chat about Marketing in greater detail, feel free to e-mail me.

Good luck to you.

What can marketers do to advance regional economic integration?

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by admin in marketers | 1 Comment »

Regional integration is a process in which states enter into a regional organisation in order to increase regional cooperation and diffuse regional tensions. Past efforts at regional integration have often focused on removing barriers to free trade in the region, increasing the free movement of people, labour, goods, and capital across national borders, reducing the possibility of regional armed conflict (for example, through Confidence and Security-Building Measures), and adopting cohesive regional stances on policy issues, such as the environment. Such an organization can be based either on supranational or intergovernmental decision-making institutional order.

There have been several efforts at regional integration, including ASEAN and Mercosur. Perhaps the most well known and developed attempt at regional integration has been the European Union, which in some policy areas has moved beyond an intergovernmental approach to decision making at a federalist or supra-state level.

Regional integration has been defined as an association of states based upon location in a given geographical area, for the safeguarding or promotion of the participants, an association whose terms are fixed by a treaty or other arrangements. Philippe De Lombaerde and Luk Van Langenhove define regional integration as a worldwide phenomenon of territorial systems that increase the interactions between their components and create new forms of organisation, co-existing with traditional forms of state-led organisation at the national level. According to Hans van Ginkel, regional integration refers to the process by which states within a particular region increase their level of interaction with regard to economic, security, political, and also social and cultural issues. In short, regional integration is the joining of individual states within a region into a larger whole. The degree of integration depends upon the willingness and commitment of independent sovereign states to share their sovereignty.

Regional integration initiatives, according to Van Langenhove, should fulfil at least eight important functions:

* the strengthening of trade integration in the region
* the creation of an appropriate enabling environment for private sector development
* the development of infrastructure programmes in support of economic growth and regional integration
* the development of strong public sector institutions and good governance;
* the reduction of social exclusion and the development of an inclusive civil society
* contribution to peace and security in the region
* the building of environment programmes at the regional level
* the strengthening of the region’s interaction with other regions of the world.

The crisis of the post-war order led to the emergence of a new global political structure. This new global political structure made obsolete the classical Westphalian concept of a system of sovereign states to conceptualise world politics. The concept of sovereignty becomes loser and the old legal definitions of an ultimate and fully autonomous power of a nation-state are no longer meaningful. Sovereignty, which gained meaning as an affirmation of cultural identity, has lost meaning as power over the economy. All regional integration projects during the cold war period were built on the Westphalian state system and were to serve economic growth as well as security motives in their assistance to state building goals. Regional integration and globalisation are the two phenomenons challenging the existing global order based upon sovereign states at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The two processes deeply affect the stability of the Westphalian state system, thus contributing to both disorder and a new global order.

Closer integration of neighbouring economies is seen as a first step in creating a larger regional market for trade and investment. This works as a spur to greater efficiency, productivity gain and competitiveness, not just by lowering border barriers, but by reducing other costs and risks of trade and investment. Bilateral and sub-regional trading arrangements are advocated as development tools as they encourage a shift towards greater market openness. Such agreements can also reduce the risk of reversion towards protectionism, locking in reforms already made and encouraging further structural adjustment.

In broad terms, the desire for closer integration is usually related to a larger desire for opening to the outside world. Regional economic cooperation is being pursued as a means of promoting development through greater efficiency, rather than as a means of disadvantaging others. Most of the members of these arrangements are genuinely hoping that they will succeed as building blocks for progress with a growing range of partners and towards a generally freer and open global environment for trade and investment. Integration is not an end in itself, but a process to support economic growth strategies, greater social equality and democratisation.

Regional integration arrangements are a part and parcel of the present global economic order and this trend is now an acknowledged future of the international scene. It has achieved a new meaning and new significance. Regional integration arrangements are mainly the outcome of necessity felt by nation-states to integrate their economies in order to achieve rapid economic development, decrease conflict, and build mutual trusts between the integrated units. The nation-state system, which has been the predominant pattern of international relations since the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 is evolving towards a system in which regional groupings of states is becoming more important than sovereign states. There is a powerful perception that the idea of the state and its sovereignty has been made irrelevant by processes that are taking place at both the global and local level. Walter Lippmann believes that, "the true constituent members of the international order of the future are communities of states." E.H. Carr shares Lippmann view about the rise of regionalism and regional arrangements and commented that, "the concept of sovereignty is likely to become in the future even more blurred and it is at present."

This information seems impossible to find, and there are so many cons. Is there a reliable source to find out who the best affiliate marketers are?

John(one of the top internet marketers) shows you step-by-step his exact system for earning a full-time income online fast. And best of all… he’s giving it to you ABSOLUTELY FREE!

It’s valued at $197 so I’d encourage you to act now. He is a generous guy but I don’t know how long he will be offering it at no charge.

Do you think that marketers seek to manipulate consumers and convince them to spend money that they don’t have?

Posted on November 3rd, 2009 by admin in marketers | 3 Comments »

Marketers are the target of a lot of criticism. The current economic crisis – fueled in part by consumer overspending – is a phenomenon that has lead some critics to question whether or not marketing itself is really ethical.

1) Do you think that marketers seek to manipulate consumers and convince them to spend money that they don’t have?

2) Have you ever felt like this was happening to you?

first off consumer spending is what a economy needs to bounce back…. the overspending thing only refers to the government ok? don’t get all that information from news b/c even news programs are sadly very biassed and wrong. marketing is ethical… people need to spend money and most products are tarketed to a certain audience.. and that in turn provide sales tax, trickle down economy… and as of right now the econmoy is bad b/c of real estate realtors and banks and people NOT PAYING BACK THIER LOANS. plus large conglomerates that do nothing really overspending. its not your average supermarket, your clothes store, your video game shop, and so on. the stock market for banks and money lenders are what fuckked up the economy and its the same as the great depression.. the large comanpies always fuck everything up. and banks … only some of your money is kept their in cash.. rest is all digital as of being in that bank its non existent cept in a computer somewhere. well when stock market crashed people panic( another example of human stupidity) peopel rush to banks to draw out all that money and the bank only has so much to give thus not all the people get thier money. in times like depressions people don’t spend enough to raise the economy back to what it should be and thus peopel lose jobs simply b/c people don’t think …. the economy needs money to bounce back and thus the government overspends on programs such as healthcare for poor, worker’s compensation, and unemployment and b/c theres no one spending theres no jobs. see? everything affects everything.when they should be saving money people dont( should save when economy is up! that way inflation doesnt happen) when theres less money in circulation money value goes up when more is in circulation money value goes down which is why peopel should be saving in high economies. the economy always dipds back and forth and only is made worse by people not paying loans, tax dodgers( when one person doesnt pay alot suffer) realtors lying about actually housing worth( that’s unethical but i rent for that one reason) but your average sellers like everyday grocery stores, video game shops, small chain stores, small resturants are not to blame and overspending isnt to blame for bad economy. another problem is peopel buying real estate thinking they can sell it for a profit( another example of human greed) and all the sudden they find out … thier house isnt worth what the realtors said it was. and now they can’t afford to pay for the house they just bought.

so no marketing itself is ethical.. its the large scale money lenders, real estate market and banks , credit card companies and stock market thats again to blame. but tis also americans b/c they don’t make products that americans want to buy thats sturdy, safe( ford recalls 4.5 million cars)our american made electronics suck… even our animation is done overseas b/c people want too many benefits.. and companies want too much profit so therefore we spend overseas its better made, its safer, its cheaper.. and lasts longer…. catch 22…. people would buy american products if it was made better but b/c they are greedy they make it cheap. its also credit card debt… americans know no sense of willpower.. the average american is idiotic with money b/c we don’t have competant teacher teaching math and economy studies, very few know how to do thier own taxxes ( which is surprinsgly simple i do my own)… america for such a great country has one of the worst education systems in the world… third world countries top it. which leads to stupid choices with credit cards they ca’t pay back. americans are very selfish… very selfish… and spoiled.. and most don’t want to save up for soemthing and so they use a credit card and don’t pay it back… its not the makerters fault… its how they make a living.

look at your products u buy next time.. most made in asian countries.. why? they are smarter than us, arent as greedy .. they make do with less … most live in smaller houses or apartments ( can’t say that for average american.. we even need access room) they are hardworking b/c they are taught froma early age how to be good with money, work hard, are smarter… if we taught our kids better they’d be better functioning adults, who spend wisely and ding ding ding! buy houses and pay back loans….. and so on and so forth. but right now its video games and groceries and impluse buys that are keepignt he jobs we have now.

next time u see soemthing on news.. don’t belive it all…. even the news is not impartial and many times people pay that news station to say what they want.

Father in his 80s, preyed upon by mail and tele marketers, how to help?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin in marketers | 8 Comments »

Dad, 80, gets a mountain of mail and continuous phone calls.
He has symptoms of alzheimer’s and has charged or written checks totaling $10,000 in January.
Fortune tellers, overseas lotteries, coin dealers, political donations, etc, etc.
If he authorizes the transactions, they can’t be reversed.

Contacting the companies will not stop them.

Need to change his environment as controlling his behavior doesn’t last.
Take away his credit cards and he gets new ones.
Want to try to make his saving less accessable.

Suggestions?

Talk to a lawyer and get power of attorney. They can tell you the best way to deal with the money situation. Contact the post office and have them help cut off the junk mail. Get him on your state’s Do Not Call list for telemarketers.

When will these HIIT marketers REALIZE in exercise vs diet , DIET wins EVERY SINGLE TIME?

Posted on October 27th, 2009 by admin in marketers | 3 Comments »

When do you think they will realize that you can pound down HUNDERS UPON HUNDERS of calories in only 5 minutes and even running steadily full speed will not burn ANYWHERE NEAR the calories you just consumed?

SOME Cardio exercise is neeeded for health but for FAT BURNING it is extremely over rated and can be out done VERY VERY easliy.

when hell freezes over.

diet and exercise are equally important, depending on what you are trying to do.

What can marketers do to advance regional economic integration?

One way would be to clearly define the region in question and look at your number one competitor. Examine the strategies of your competition and either copycat them or trump them.
