as the title says: how does the promotion of human rights in China serve western interests?

this is a class discussion question i am having. i know the western world is concerned about human rights in China, but i dont really know why.

Wow…so much to type here…but it’s dinner time. SO I shall summarize: because it will eventually make them like "us" (i.e., the West). That is what we want.

P.S.—To a previous poster who mentioned about wages going up, etc. That is EXACTLY what we want to happen! If wages were identical over there, US companies would not be relocating all their operations to China.

Sometimes *promotions* are fake. Not by Cadbury, to my rather limited knowledge they are a honest and equitable company, Even if they do sabotage my waist line on occasions.

I help promote _ _ _ Wrestling. I pass out flyers and everything but I ened something unique. They have TV time as well and that’s what i’m promoting. Some examples I have are putting magnet letters on a car and doing a canned food drive for the needed with the logo, Station, and time the wrestling promotion is aired. Do you have any other unique ideas that don’t cost a lot of money? I’d prefer to spend more time then money. Thank you. All ***decent*** help is greatly appreciated.

You should go to the local college campus and see if you can put up fliers there. College kids are one of the main markets and they usually don’t have anything better to do than go. Ummm…maybe you could put ads in a newspaper. I am not sure exactly.

Ok lets say you start working for a bank as a teller at 18 years old.With no college what is the highest promotion can you get by starting working as a teller?

This is way too generalized.

First of all, it depends on what bank. Banks can make any position they want, however high up they want, and call it whatever they please. There is no universal promotion structure. And all banks/businesses are different.

Second, it depends on supply. Are you a good enough candidate for the promotion? Do they hire from the outside, or do they promote from within?

Third, it depends on demand. Do they need a position filled? If so, when are they looking to promote? If no, when will the next opening be?

Fourth, it depends on whatever additional circumstances come into play.

It is infinitely variable. You could be promoted next week, or you could be stuck in the teller position for 30 years. Who’s to say?

You are trying to look into the future here. It’s just not possible.

3. Click on Actions
4. Go to Ask for a Raise…
5. If he/she says no, it will tell what you need to do before you ask for another one.

Considering promotion mix categories such as advertising, personal selling, direct marketing etc. I belive all of them are being used in a combined fashion. I just can’t think of specific examples. Would it be like when you buy a computer from Dell’s website it offers you to buy other products and accessories? Is that correct?

An example of personal selling is when those annoying pop ups come up asking if you want to chat with a customer service person.

Direct marketing is selling directly from a web site, not just using it to promote products. Dell would be an example of direct marketing.

Sales promotion would be offering accessories free or at a special price with an order of a laptop, as an example.

Direct mail (e-mail) is used a lot by Amazon - they track your searches and purchases on Amazon’s web site and then send emails with products similar to those you have bought in the past (same topic of a book, for instance, or same artist for CDs or MP3s)

Does lessee cover some expenses for cross promotion or the make takes care of everything to provide like with a lot of people? Is there any scheme or something?

Usually it’s targeted toward a demographic that both stores or products share, there’s really no scheme, say a company like the Limited has a promotion. They also own Bath and Body works as well as Victoria’s Secret… So if you can make money at one business, why not fluff the other businesses as well, or say there’s Tree Top Apple Sauce and Frigo’s Cheese Sticks, the two products can both easily fit into a lunchbox for the little one… Both companies win if there’s a special offer or coupon…

My sister had emergency surgery (one of her ovaries died and had to be removed) and returned to work today to be told that she can’t be considered for promotion for three months due to the fact she was on disability leave for the past three weeks. She has been passed over for promotion for the past year although she has been performing the duties of manager for the past year and having had customers call the district manager and commending her stellar performance and recommendation to be manager. Is it legal to deny her the ability to be promoted due to her medical leave? She has had a stellar work record as well as an excellent attendance record.

She needs to talk to an HR attorney.

It appears they are retaliating against her for going out on disability (this is not allowed).

I went to the promotion board today for E5. Saying I have all the points and make cutoff, when will I be able to put on the rank. What happens and how does the system work for now. Is it the November points or the December points that affect me?

go to the board get your points togther, and become protable (go form SPC to SPC-P) then go to WLC and when th e points drop enough you get yuour SGT and you become a SGT.
