Is advertising the ONLY way to make a revenue on an informative website?
I am starting a website about information on my hometown. (obviously, I can’t tell you exactly what will be in the site).
The website does not provide anything more than information. Very specific information, about the city. But I’m not selling anything, or providing a service.
I want to make money off of this website. How can I do that?
Do I have to rely on advertising? Or is there another way to make money off of a website that is purely informative?
That is pretty much it, unless you can think of some value added service to supply at a premium. Perhaps you could sell advertising for local businesses. If you haven’t already I suggest you setup a analytic profile with Google so you know what kind of traffic you are receiving this data might also help you if you decide to sell advertising.
Describe the process that marketers use to develop a CRM campaign?
In your opinion, what element of campaign planning is most challenging? Why? How should a campaign be evaluated for success?
1. Ask the customers how the service is. This is an easy one, though it may lead to a one-word answer. Nevertheless, it’s a useful way to start the conversation–just ask the customer how they found everything. "Is there anything else that I can do to better serve you?" is a statement that will do the trick.
2. Ask why they like you. Instead of just coming out and asking why they keep coming back for your service, tell them first that you’re looking to get some honest, constructive feedback. Then tell them to draw upon the positives and negatives. Let them know that even if they give you a negative, it’s OK and you welcome the feedback.
3. Find deficiencies. This goes along with the negatives they may bring up. Instead of saying, "The wait was too long," you can ask the customer to further expand. Ask them what specifically will help improve things from the customer standpoint. Remember that’s the person you want to please, so they’ll likely have a different view of things. That’s good–that’s how you satisfy them–by identifying their needs and implementing tactics that greatly improve business.
Are you very conscious and possessive about your identity , image and branding ?
whether on Y!A or other social networking forums , or at your workplace or with your friends do you care and nurture your image and identity and ensure that your branding is protected ? Or you just behave the way in which you want and enjoy life ?
no ,,,,,,i dont try to project any image of myself,,,or brand my-self ,,,,,,,or try to protect my brand,,,
my workplace guys and gals and my personal friends and even my mom and dad ,,,,,know me insideout,,,,,they know i tend to speak my mind,or as i see it ,,,,but they say ,you may sound rude sometimes,,,,but we like you the way you are,,,,,,
hence even if you or i attempt to project a brand of ourselves,,,,,,overtime the veneer will come crashing down,,,because people subconsiciously judge us and will sense the underlying signals which we tend to hide,,,,,
i just want to behave in a way appropriate to the situation,,,,,,and enjoy my stay on this earth,,,until i get coverted back in to the elements,,,,,

what kind of sales promotions does harley davidson have at special events?
So I am doing a project on Harley Davidson and I need to know what kind of sales promotions they have going. At special events, and or dealerships?
I am not a biker so I am unfarmiliar with this brand, can anyone provide helpful insight?
Depending on the type of event most MC companies have promotional activities. These activities include product displays, test rides and hospitality facilities. The hospitality facilities are typically for current owners and friends. There might even be free food and beverages. They might also have raffles for clothing or accessories, and free posters, stickers, etc…
Once in a great while, but very seldom, there can be sales events with price discounts associated to the larger event. This does not happen often because the dealers are the ones that sell the bikes and the manufacturer would have to discount the price to the dealers as part of the promotion. It gets very messy because if one dealer gets a discount then other dealers want a discount too.
So sales promotions are usually managed on a national basis and not associated with special events.

Does freeze branding leave a different mark to hot branding?
Our TB has neat brand markings which are fairly innocuous. I have seen many SBs with strange almost white brandings on their neck? Is this due to branding types?
Freeze marking your horse will turn the affected area white and is more prominent. Hot branding actually burns the hair follicle and skin to leave it’s mark. Hot brandings can be hard to see under winter coats and more obvious in the summer, and more painful to the horse! That is why alot of people use freeze marking as a deterrent to stop people stealing their horses (they can be easily identified). Hope this helps! x
I feel like sad and down because my colleagues got job promotions. Is that normal?
I only worked there so far for 1 month and my colleagues who have worked there for about 1 year have got job promotions. I’m feeling sad and down about the whole thing, because I’ve worked very hard so far in 1 month. Is that normal? How can I overcome the feeling?
It is normal - internally you probably realise that you are just as good and try just as hard.
Try asking your management - why you did not get a promotion and what can you do about it to improve your skills and qualities for other promotions coming up.
Good luck
Are advertising agencies going out of business? is it unrealistic to want to start a Marketing Firm?
I am interested in Television and Film Advertising and Marketing. I am also interested in Film Production and all other aspects of Marketing. I even have a great idea on how to improve Telemarketing for the Marketers and the customers…. any advice is great.
For the most part, ad agencies are not going out of business. They are, however, rapidly changing with new technology and going away from the traditional points of reaching their markets. With recent advances in rotating electronic billboards, media-based cell phones (or on-the-go processors i.e. netbooks/ iPads), social networking sites, and several advances that will be made in the near future, advertising budgets are actually growing to meet the current demands in "new media" over the last couple of years (despite the recession) and will grow even more soon, but they are cutting back heavily on allocated expenditures on traditional TV commercial advertising, stand-alone magazine ads, and the "old" way of creating market awareness.
The biggest advice you can have right now is: follow the current technology trends because that is what is paving the way in advertising, production, and consumerism right now, more so than I have ever seen. There has been a huge spike in social media and computer integration with everything- from digital cameras, post workflows, broadcast, to how we will view this media and be reached at home or "out of home". It will be surprising for many people how quickly things will change in the next couple of years.
What advertising campaigns are there for missing people?
I’ve got this really weird homework task and I have to find out what advertising campaigns there are for missing people. Well, it actually says "research and document what adverts there already are about missing people".
I was wondering if anybody knew of any that would be easy to research? I need about a page, but even if I have just one or two tidbits of info I’ll know where to start looking. It’s just it’s not really something you can just type into google (despite my efforts) but any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers x

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace.
