In the K-12 educational system, what are different standards which various states have for promotion onto the next grade? Examples of this might be passing state standardized exams, or maintaining a certain average in a course. Please give urls and even if you only know the information for 1 or 2 states, that’d be very helpful. Thanks!
I live in California, and promotion requirements are pretty basic here.
There are standardized exams (the STAR test) but if you do not pass those, you’re put in remedial courses the next year. You’re still promoted.
You have to get a D (60%-69%) average to pass. Some schools are more stringent and only allow a C average (70-79%) for promotion.
Of course, this is for public schools in the LA area. It may vary across the state.

My 8th grade promotion is coming up and i have no idea what color my dress should be. The shoes i’m planning to wear are the silver sparkly TOMS
Any suggestions?
I would suggest a dark blue dress or you could wear a purple, black, or red. I don’t suggest light colors like yellow though. If you like pink, you could wear it, but i suggest a darker shade. it also depends on your skin color… if your skin is dark i would go with a light color… yellow might be acceptable, but if your pale like me… go with a dark colour so you don’t look washed out. Good Luck and have fun:)

We Arizonians are getting pretty damn sick of a bunch of liberal jackasses trying to run our business here in Arizona. Has Bloomberg forgot he has nothing but a crime ridden slum to take care of. He has absolutely no business investigating here. Its none of his damn business or do you think it is?
Guns purchased in one state can be transported to another state. In fact, Arizona is one of the top sources of guns that are used in crimes all over the US, not to mention Mexico as well. It is absolutely his business to step in and force a state to enforce the law so that there is less crime in his city.

I am a Business Administration student at the University of Oregon and want to start reading more than just my course books. I have read some classics like "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and more recent business books like "The Little Red Book of Selling" and "Good to Great." What are some other books that every business student should read before going into the real world. Thanks.

I’ve heard that every year they have a promotion that will get you a free itouch (rebated) along with the $100 off if you have a student discount.
I was wondering does anyone know when that starts this year in 2011?
Thanks!
I believe it start in June or July of every year.

How does the practice of hot-iron branding of one’s flesh reconcile with contemporary Christian beliefs and values?
I sincerely hope you’re not considering doing that to yourself.

How to Become a Personal Manager and Promotion Manager?
If I were to become one of these what would I need in high school to become either a Personal Manager for the artist or to become a Promotion Manager of the company? And what University/college would I go to and what degree to take?
Please help!
From the source
Currently, there are no colleges or universities in the US specifically designed for artist management, however there are many institutions that offer programs in the areas of entertainment management or the music industry, most notably Belmont University in middle Tennessee. It is recommended that someone pursuing a career in artist management have strong communication skills, some knowledge regarding finance, business and law, and keen decision-making abilities. For this reason, any degree in business, communications, pre-law or even English is appropriate. The most important factor, however, is experience in the industry.

I was only curious since sometimes I run into people who complain about how poor a certain product is. I was wondering if wrestling promotions ever go scouting for bookers, instead of just for wrestlers. If they don’t, should they start or continue not to? Why?
BQ: Who, in your opinion, was the best booker? What separated this booker from the others?
All answers are appreciated and helpful.
WQ:) Nah bro whenever wrestling promotions (mainstream or independent)
go scouting for wrestlers they look for wrestlers and wrestlers alone. They
have people within the wrestling promotion who are in charge for booking a
match and the writers are in charge for writing the storylines. From what I
been noticing in the past few years World Wrestling Entertainment scouts
wrestlers who compete in the independent circuit (Ring of Honor Wrestling)
for instance. Cm Punk, Daniel Bryan, Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana), Loki
and a few other wrestlers have wrestled in Ring of Honor in the past. Most
of those indy wrestlers don’t make it youve seen in the past KAVAL he only
lasted a few months and Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana) was also released.
The people who go scouting for wrestlers are called the Wwe Road Agents.
Tna Wrestling does the same thing they have Tna Road Agents that scout
and bring in the new wrestling talent. Desmond Wolfe is Nigel McGuiness
he’s a former Ring of Honor and Pure World Heavyweight Champion. So, is
the team of Max and Jeremy (Generation Me) they are from Dragon Gate. I
know that new wrestler Crimson is Little Red the brother of Amazing Red.
BQ:) Best wrestling booker and wrestling promoter of all time would have to
be Paul Heyman. This man did it all he was the owner, promoter and booker
of ECW Extreme Championship Wrestling the original old school ECW not
the new breed show they would show on the Syfy channel. He was a genius
and a very good wrestling booker he had a lot of great wrestling talent in the
ECW locker room so for that reason he did quite well with his indy promotion.

I notice that when I receive promotions in the mail they usually send a better deal then on the internet. Most people don’t like receiving this in the mail. I was just wondering how I can get more of them sent to me.
Thanks for your help
For a while the banks slowed down on sending them while they were waiting to see what legislation was coming down. The offers have started flowing again. This morning I shredded about 30 of them that I have received in the past few weeks.
