Does taking a promotion during college look good for grad school or in general?

I am in college currently, and I work as a tutor for high schoolers- this year they offered me a promotion where I would basically become a mini-boss for the assigned schools and would be responsible for the paper work and etc, for the tutors assigned to that particular school. My question is, its quite time consuming so does it look better to take a leadership position in work or to participate in varies extra curricular activites for gradschool?

Of course it does. However grades are more important - so only do it if it wont interfere with your grades.
