How do I ask my friend to the promotion dance?

Okay, so there’s this girl I really like, and I’ve known her for like 6 years, plus we’re friends. In June, our school has a promotion ceremony for eighth graders and a following dance. Now she has no idea that I like her and only like 3 people do. So, I need suggestions on how to work up the courage and stuff to actually ask her.

P.S. I’m extremely afraid of rejection, so that’s why I even asked this.

Well just tell yourself she’s only your friend, because in all reality she is. Don’t be afraid of rejection this is just part of life and growing up. I’ve been rejected before but the guy was ugly and I was only doing it to be nice and a friend to him. Just say ”Hey there’s a dance coming up, are you going with anyone?” if she says no then ask her, if she says yes..don’t even bother

Well just tell yourself she’s only your friend, because in all reality she is. Don’t be afraid of rejection this is just part of life and growing up. first you start off by asking her if she is going ?if yes ! if ask if she is going with anyone?if no one ask if she would like to go with you in so many words.you have to learn to take a chance.if you don’t great things may pass you by. then you will have that what if in the back of your mind!
