How to promotion companies get so many myspace friends?

I look at promotion companies and they have over 45000 friends ,that are mostly bands, on myspace.How do they do this? I know that they dont go page by page adding 45000 people!

exactly - they paid myspace for that kind of attention

regular users dont get that kind of attention
