Is the army Warrior Transition Course certificate of training usable for promotion points?

I have attempted to use my certificate for promotion points, and my admin section is telling me that course is not eligible for promotion point use. Is this true, and if not, where can I find it in writing that I can use this course certificate?

It is not because it is a required course for entrance into the Army, just as basic training cannot be used to promotion points. Your previous military training (from your old branch) is allowable for promotion points.

  1. I believe it’s not eligible - our son went through WTC in New Mexico several years ago (transitioning from the Air Force) and was told the same thing.
