  4. Tell them what the Marines are going to do for you…..Also when I was an Army Recruiter, I always told my Future Soldiers, it’s not your job to recruit people into the Army, Just get qualified people who are interested in HEARING about the Army, to come thru my door. I’ll do the rest.

When you do your weekly training, invite some of them along to see what the Marines are all about. Or if you are still in High School, Find out when your Recruiter is going to your school, try to get excused from some of your classes to hang out with him, not to hang out, but to help him recruit. It will be easier for other students to talk to him if you, are there also. Rock a USMC T-shirt every where you can. it will cause people to ask you….so you are a Marine?, you go "Not yet, but I will be soon, I leave for training on……I am lookin for other people to join, do you know anyone?" Carry his Business cards with you, put your name on the back, and talk to strangers at the mall, give them the card, if they are not interested at that time, then they might be later, so it has your name on the back, so the Recruiter will know where the prospect came from.

Recruiting is hard work, again, don’t try to recruit, try to find people to sit down with your recruiter, he will do the rest….also insure that they are qualified to join……….And insure you get credit for everyone that you get in the door.
