who can I go to find answers about the millitary promotion system?

I have a relative recently selected to the rank o MSgt(E7) The promotion list was posted in may. He has a promotion sequence number 2080. I can find no information on when he is likely to be promoted. He is in the Air Force.

That is because there is no information. he will now about 30 days before. the best estimate you can make is to take the total number of promotees, devide it into months and see which month 2080 falls into.
