And here I was a card-carrying member of the Insane Coho Lips back then.

Of course, Steve Dahl had it out for disco ever since his previous station to WLUP/The Loop, WDAI, changed station formats and left him out of a job. You guessed it — it went all-disco format, and Dahl used to rant on the air about “Disco D-A-I” (as they called themselves) being “Disco D-I-E”.

  10. OMG Steve Dahl was …
OMG Steve Dahl was soooo young! lol

yes I agree…disco did help race relations..only this tv clip makes disco demolition look like an ‘anti-elitist” movement more than a racist or homophobic movt…hmmm…I wonder…its sad though that one event led to the death of a music era..well thank god for nu-disco and electroclash!

What always really sucked was clumsy people who can’t dance, hatin’ on dance music of all eras.

  14. I think that disco …
I think that disco was a good thing. Disco came into existence after the civil rights movement. I think that in the long run it helped race relations because it brought people of all different races to-
gether. Before this music was all black and white.

Latin chicks and black women cant get enough of white boys with a sexy rhythm about them..lol You have never heard that before!! Pink Floyd rhythm? you’re out of your mind!!! Led Zeppelin rhythm..?? No chance to convince the lost….laughin’ at retard comments..c’ya

    Pink Floyd’s Dark …
Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon was one of the best albums to have sex with. That and Led Zeppelin IV among other rock albums that were voted best albums to have sex with. I suck at dancing in all forms. Like music that has testosterone, takes you places and have fun. Dancing is stupid. Rock and roll had sex appeal. Hip hop and rap is dead. House music you dance like a reject on drugs just like disco three decades before.
