I, as a white male, feel the same pain as all men out there when it comes to work place Affirmative Action practices. I am part of the NSM, which I am sure some of you have heard of, without bringing up touchy issues, one thing that we stand for as a Political Organization is Fairness in the workplace. Not equality, there can be no equality in the work place, it does not work. Fairness is the word that should be used. The problem is the Liberal and Feminist groups have such a stronghold on the Government that we are forced to cater to everyone except White Males because supposedly White Males have more oppurtunities.

Since women and minorities make far under white males wage I think that this should be adjusted as in Pay Equity.

Its LOAD AND CLEAR official, it is not sexist as long as it is a white male. Sexist 3rd wave feminism. Is there any movement EVER more sexist than this.

I find it ridiculous.
I think that whoever is the most qualified for the job should get it, regardless of race, gender, or orientation.
Yes, I’d love that promotion, I’d kill for that job, but if I don’t deserve it, get it because I’m female, and someone else is more qualified, it would kill me to get it over them.

It disgusts me that "equal rights" has gone so far that it is taking away rights of white men. I’m saying this as a woman, and a woman who has been hired on account of the lack of male genitalia at least once to fill "quotas".

If you’re more qualified than me, you’d better get that job. I’d rather work hard for something than get it because I’m not a man.

It’s pathetic…very new labour. Pandering to feminists and a minority of ethnic belly achers.. The vast majority of women and ehnics I know want to be promoted because they’re good at their job, not because a pen pusher wants to get the numbers up. Policies like this breed racial unrest. We’re seeing it with immigration and housing policy now…we saw similar in pre-Nazi Germany. The government can hardly whinge about people voting BNP when it’s their own policies that are building support for the extremists.

Equal pay for equal work (if possible). Many occupations require the strength of a man, while others don’t. It doesn’t matter what your color or gender may be, if you are capable of doing the same work, you should receive the same pay.
When we bend the bow and make concessions for a particular race or gender, we tend to be biased and partial.
I believe fairness should be an across the board thing.

They are saying that in a situation where there are 2 candidates with exactly equal merit, the job should be given to the candidate that is least represented in that workplace.

I think it would be fairer to the candidates to toss a coin in this situation than "positively discriminate".
