how can i get a company to stop giving me advertisements and promotions?

I went on the land rover website and requested a brochure a while ago. Now, they keep sending me their promotions. I called my local land rover dealer but they hung up on me! Can you tell me how i can get them to stop?

Depending on the type of "promotions" that you’re referring to, the mailed materials from Land Rover corporate should stop after 6-months…they have a recontact program off of brochure requests. It’s not all bad though, you can occasionally get a private offer that can get you money off your car purchase.

If you provided your email address you will keep getting periodic emails from them, but you can click the unsubscribe button in the email at any time to stop the deliveries.

However, if the promotions are coming from the dealer then you’re going to have to keep going directly to the source to get yourself removed from their mailing list.

  3. Call the Post Office and ask to speak to a postal inspector. Tell him you are being harassed by that company and you want it stopped. He will contact them and tell them that it is against the law to send unwanted mail to someone.

    This is not the same situation as your receiving advertisements every week that are addressed to "Occupant" or "Current Resident." The post office has to deliver those.

    You can only file a complaint if it has your name on it. If it says Occupant or Current Resident in addition to your name, you can’t stop it. Good luck.

  4. well now that you learned never to request such things, if they send it threw email, block it or send it back to them. telling them you do not want any more advertisements from them. or add them to the junk mail.

  5. this is advertising.i hate when it comes to me also,via email and through mailbox.

    try to argue with them a little and say that u will take legal action.

    spamming in real-life is as worse as spamming on the Internet.
