I'll suggest you to take the degree of Mass Communication or either Marketing for this type of job. Mass Communication should be the first preference.

Promotions is sales, and that takes, drive, desire, ingenuity, people skills, etc.  You don't need a degree for that, just an opportunity.  If you can't get a break in your chosen field, start at a retail outlet or some other sales position, develop your resume, then go for what you really want again.

There are immense numbers of people with degrees that can't do what you aim to do; employers know this; they want results, so get on with it.
